The distance between Earth and Sun

The Sun has gravitationally bound planets, asteroids, comets, around it, this is collectively known as The solar system. Sun has a radius of 696,000 km and it has a mass of 21030Kg, with this, the Sun consists of 99.8 percent of the total mass of the solar system (See figure no 1). Sun is a yellow star, which means that most of the light it emits is in the yellow frequency of light, although it emits other frequencies of lights as well, all the seven colors of the rainbow, thus sunlight is white in color.

In the solar system, there are eight planets, which are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, dwarf planets, Ceres, Pluto, Makemake, etc. There are asteroids, majority of which are present in a belt between Mars and Jupiter, known as asteroid belt, and comets majority of which are present after the orbit of Pluto. In this article, we will be discussing the orbit of Earth around the Sun, and a few phenomena that happen due to the specific orbital radius of Earth.

Earth is orbiting the Sun in an elliptical orbit, an ellipse is a perturbed circle for example(see figure no 2). Where the Sun is present at one of the foci of the ellipse, and the Earth moves in the orbit around the Sun. With this, the distance between Earth and Sun keeps on
